I had to drill out a bolt that broke off in a cast iron arm for my table saw. When I started scraping the iron, it magnetized on the drill bit.

Magical Paint

This paint was the color of the old paint while in the can, and even on the stir-stick... but once it left the can and was applied to the deck, it was significantly lighter in color even while still wet. It dried the same white color as on the right. All fresh paint in this picture (whether in the can or on the deck) is wet.

Lamp

This was a nice surprise. There's this little glass shop in Yellow Springs that has the coolest hand crafted pieces. You can see the workroom; there's a blind cat who's always very friendly. I like going in there, but always comment that I would never buy the pieces that I like because I would never spend so much money on myself for a simple decoration. CJ remembered one of the pieces I had commented on, and surprised me with it for my birthday.

Not a great shot, but it took me an entire day to repaint this door, so I wanted to post it. To get a good edge on the trim, I took apart the door and removed the glass and trimming.

I have tried to shoot the entry way many times, but it's very difficult to get the lighting right. I decided to go ahead and post this one. The view is from the living room. The entry door is opposite the wall with the mirror. An unseen closet is on the left, and an entry to the back hallway is to the left of the mirror and table.
